During
a time-consuming cleaning project, you’ll benefit from using an auto floor
scrubber because it cleanses over 20,000 square feet of space within an hour.
However, to operate a unit at its full potential, you must prep the components
properly and the work area strategically.
Phase One
A typical
floor scrubber will operate for about four hours after the battery is fully
charged. This is why you must charge your unit completely before each use. If
you begin a project with a partially charged battery, the machine won’t clean
no more than 50,000 sq ft.
Next, ensure that all of the hoses are attached to the unit. If you discover
any leaks, you must repair them before operating the floor scrubber.
If the hoses are completely secured, fill the water tank with soapy water.
Then, select a proper brush or pad that’s specifically designed for your floor.
A glossy floor will require a red or white pad. If your facility has a concrete
floor, you’ll need an aggressive pad, which is usually black or brown.
Phase Two
To prep the work area, place a caution board in a highly visible spot. If the
area has any obstructions, move them out of the work space.
Next, dust the entire space with a dust mop. The floors should be spotless
because trash particles can ruin your machine if they stick to the surfaces
underneath the squeegee.
