So you’ve finally decided to buy
your own industrial sweeper and scrubber. You’re enjoying the benefits of your
sound business investment, and your office housekeeping is better than ever.
However, this does not mean that
you should be complacent and let these machines do all the work. You want to
make the most out of this purchase, after all, and so you should think about
how to maintain them as well.
Cleaning the Cleaners
Because their main job is to pick
up the dirt off the floor, you should make sure to clean the recovery tanks
periodically. This is where the accumulated dirt goes, and once it is full,
your machine can get clogged, preventing it from functioning properly.
There are also filters to
separate bigger chunks of debris that can damage the machine if the chunks get
through to the tank. Give it a good rinse as well, making it ready for the next
use. Also, don’t forget to drain and wash out the solution tanks. Leaving
solution in it for long periods of time can eventually lead to gum build-up,
which will also affect the equipment’s performance.
Of course, don’t forget about the
brushes and bristles. These are the components that work the hardest, and so
you should make sure they are clean so they don’t end up just transferring the
dirt from the machine to the floor.
It’s not all that difficult to
keep your industrial floor cleaning machines in tiptop shape. All you need to
do is have proper regard for its use and after-use care.
