Industrial Cleaning Machines Rid Restaurant Grime

If you operate a restaurant, you already know how important hygiene is to your success. One sick customer could result in investigations, penalties and even closure. You may be very meticulous in cleaning the surfaces you prepare food on, tables and cutlery, but are you doing all you can to keep your floors clean?

Bacteria Thrives on Floors

Think about how many dirty shoes make it to your restaurant’s floor and the bacteria they deposit on the surface. Simply running a mop over the floor isn’t going to clean it effectively because bacteria tends to lodge itself into micro-crevices. Meanwhile, a mop just moves dirt around a floor rather than lifting it off.

Viral diseases like colds and flu may be transferred to the floor from guests and bacteria such as staph and salmonella can be found on kitchen floors. These germs can then become airborne to ultimately infect staff and patrons. It is therefore imperative that you to clean your restaurant floors completely to avoid illnesses and a possible penalty.

Using a Floor-Cleaning Machine

Restaurant owners can use industrial floor-cleaning machines to effectively rid their floors of dangerous bacteria. A floor sweeper will remove any debris, such as food waste and trash, while a floor scrubber can clean the surface with water and brushes. The dirt will be dislodged, leaving the hot water and accompanying cleaning products to sterilize the floor.

Depending on the size of your establishment, you may want to consider ride-on machines. They cover more ground in a less time. A smaller restaurant may find a walk-along machine the better choice, as they are smaller and more agile.

Buying a floor-cleaning machine is a smart move for any restaurant owner. This way, there will be need not worry about the spread of bacteria from inefficient manual cleaning.
