How Often Should You Scrub Your Floors?

Spring is almost here, which means it’s nearly time to give your property a thorough spring cleaning. If you have a large floor area, having an industrial floor scrubber is one of the best ways to ensure a thorough and efficient floor cleaning. Now the question is, how often should you clean your floor? The answer is, it depends.

The frequency of your floor cleaning will often be based on how often it is needed. If you are cleaning a floor daily that you only use once or twice per week, then you are wasting precious time, energy, and cleaning materials. On the other hand, if a floor area experiences heavy traffic daily, cleaning it once a week won’t be enough.

The more a surface is used the more often it should be cleaned. Depending on the traffic you encounter on your floors, you may need to mop bi-weekly, tri-weekly, or maybe even daily. You may even want to complement your floor scrubbing duties with regular floor monitoring so you can wipe up dirt as it happens. This can help minimize the job you need to do come scrubbing time.

To help you scrub your floors more efficiently, keep the following tips in mind:

1.    Prepare the work area
2.    Dust mop the area to get rid of debris
3.    Start cleaning from the walls in.
4.    Clean the room in sections
5.    Use a mop for hard-to-reach spots

After your floor scrubbing duties, don’t forget to empty out the contents of the scrubber to protect the materials inside from degradation.
