Maintaining Your New Industrial Floor Scrubber

If you have just purchased a new industrial floor scrubber, you need to make sure that you are maintaining it correctly to make it last for as long as possible. Maintaining such a machine is easy in most cases, though you need to observe a few practices to keep it going strong.

Most of these scrubbers make use of acid-cell batteries, which need a supply of distilled water. To avoid damaging these batteries, always maintain the water level in the scrubber. When the tank is low on water, make sure to fill it back up.

You also need to keep up on squeegee or pad maintenance, too. These items are in almost constant contact with dirt, debris, cleansers, and detergents, which could eventually cause them to split and crack. When this happens, the tools can’t clean as well as they should, making replacements necessary. Brushes also need to be inspected for small items like paper clips and staple wires that they may have trapped. Remove these items to avoid damaging the scrubber.

Many business owners and managers know that appearance is everything when it comes to business, and an industrial floor cleaning machine is no exception. Since this machine is used to clean other items, it will naturally become dirty itself. You don't want your customers to see a dirty facility, so don't let them see a dirty cleaning machine. Have your staff wipe down the machine after each use, and then store it based on the manufacturer's suggestion.
