Knowing Your Floor Cleaning Equipment

When it comes to keeping your office floor clean, a simple broom and mop just would not cut it; instead, you would need industrial equipment in order to finish the job at the shortest time possible.

Importance of Sweepers and Scrubbers

One of the main reasons for work-related accidents and injuries is slippery or wet floor. The best way to ensure that this is dealt with properly is to have industrial sweepers and scrubbers for cleaning your office floors. A scrubber will ensure that there are no dirt sticking to your tiles, while a sweeper can ensure that loose dirt get removed.

Different Types of Sweepers and Scrubbers

Industrial scrubbers generally come in two types – walk-behind and ride-on. As the name implies, a walk-behind scrubber or sweeper lets the operator work from behind the equipment. Since these machines are motorized, the staff operating it need not exert much effort, allowing things to get done in a matter of minutes. What makes walk-behind scrubbers and sweepers quite popular is the fact that it can be quite compact so storing it should not be much of a problem.

Compared to the walk-behind scrubber or sweeper, however, the ride-on design tends to finish the job at a much faster rate because it is able to cover a larger range of area. These machines can be operated for extended number of hours. Ride-on scrubbers are also able to carry large amounts of water. Depending on the design, your industrial scrubber could come with a sweeper.
